Welcome to My Photography Studio in Aylesbury

If you’ve never visited a photography studio before, you might be wondering what to expect.

Will it feel formal?
Will your children be expected to sit still?
Will you know how to pose?

I completely understand those worries, and that’s exactly why I created my studio to feel nothing like a traditional photography studio.

My studio in Aylesbury is a calm, welcoming space where you can simply slow down for a little while. Whether you’re coming for a newborn session, maternity photography, a family portrait or your baby’s first birthday, everything is prepared with comfort in mind.

A space that changes with every family

I often describe the studio as a blank canvas.

Every family brings a different story, and I love creating a space that reflects that. Before your session, we’ll chat about the style you love and how you want your photographs to feel. Once I know your vision, I’ll prepare the studio especially for you.

Some sessions are soft and simple.

Others include flowers, beautiful fabrics, textured backdrops or carefully chosen props.

Nothing is random. Every little detail has a purpose.

We can create whichever style feels most like you.

Two beautiful spaces, two different styles

The studio has two connected rooms, each offering something a little different.

The first is my studio lighting room, where I create classic portraits using professional lighting. This space gives us those beautiful, timeless images with rich tones and a more dramatic feel.

The second room is filled with natural daylight.

Large windows and skylights look out onto the garden, filling the room with soft, gentle light throughout the day. It has become one of my favourite places to photograph families.

I’ve noticed that many children, and quite a few adults too, instantly relax in this room. Without the bright studio lights, people often forget the camera is there. They cuddle a little closer, laugh a little easier and simply enjoy being together.

I feel incredibly lucky that I don’t have to choose between natural light photography and studio portraits.

Every detail is ready before you arrive

One thing most people never see is everything that happens before you walk through the door.

Every prop, wrap, blanket, dress and tiny accessory is carefully organised, cleaned and stored away so it’s fresh and ready for each family.

There are newborn wraps and pillows, delicate headbands, beautiful maternity gowns, flowing chiffon fabrics, toddler outfits, first birthday decorations, bubbles, toys and all the little details that help bring a session together.

Everything has its own place, ready whenever we need it.

A little wardrobe for you

You’re welcome to bring your own outfits, and there’s a clothing rail ready for you to use during your session.

I also have a growing client wardrobe with carefully selected maternity dresses and a few timeless pieces that you’re very welcome to borrow if you’d like.

Sometimes choosing what to wear can feel like the hardest part, so I hope this makes things just a little easier.

You don’t need to know how to pose

This is probably one of the questions I’m asked most often.

“I don’t know what to do in front of the camera.”

The truth is… you don’t have to.

When your session begins, I simply watch.

I watch how your little one reaches for your hand.

How your partner naturally looks at you.

How your baby settles against your chest.

Those are the moments I want to photograph.

If you need a little guidance, I’ll gently help you with small prompts and simple directions, but I never want your photographs to feel stiff or overly posed.

The most beautiful images always come from genuine connection.

One of my favourite moments…

If you’ve booked one of my classic baby one year sessions, you’re in for a real treat.

These are honestly some of my favourite moments in the studio.

Some babies splash with excitement.

Some sit quietly, completely fascinated by the water.

Some spend the whole time watching me with wonderfully serious little faces.

Every baby is different, and that’s exactly what makes each gallery so special.

More than just a photography studio

At the end of the day, this studio isn’t really about the walls, the lights or the beautiful props.

It’s about giving you a peaceful space where you can pause for an hour.

A place where you don’t have to rush.

Where your children can simply be children.

Where you can hold your baby close, laugh together, cuddle together, and let me quietly preserve this chapter of your family’s story.

Because these days pass so much faster than we ever expect.

And one day, these photographs will remind you exactly how it felt.
